4. Needs identification using travel demand modeling (Integrated Modeling)
In the next step of the planning process, the County identified problems to be addressed. Travel demand modeling was performed to forecast travel demand and future operational deficiencies. This included desire line analysis to identify major areas of travel origin and destination throughout the county. The model output also included performance measures such as travel time, speed and delay on each link of the network. These measures were mapped using the project GIS database.
