12. Web mapping (Document and Process Management)
Public input on selecting the preferred alternative and major project
listing was facilitated by use of a web mapping application on the project
web site. This feature allowed web site users to interact on-line with
the county-wide GIS data base to select the information they wanted to
view. In this way, users were able to obtain information about the type
and location of proposed major projects as well as their proximity to
various land uses and sensitive resources.
